Thank you for your interest in providing NDIS therapy to students at Ballarat Specialist School
On this page you will find information on how to book NDIS sessions onsite at school for students at both the Gillies Street Campus and Norman Street Campus.
Please complete the booking form to the right of screen, any additional information or forms required will be outlined in the booking form based on your request. These forms are clearly located if you scroll to the bottom of this page.
There are 2 pathways for Booking NDIS sessions onsite.
Please note that the wait time for Pathway A is slightly longer than B as outlined below.
Booking a Room onsite to complete NDIS Sessions with a BSS Student
· Before you can undertake NDIS sessions in school you must enter into a Licencing Agreement with the School Council and provide the necessary documentation.
· School Council meet twice per term which may result in some delays to the commencement of the requested session booking, we apologise for any inconvenience if that is the case.
a. Our NDIS Administrator will be in contact as soon as possible to arrange this once the booking form to the right of screen and accompanying paperwork is complete.
b. All current Licensing Agreements will conclude at the end of 2025. If you would like to continue to provide in school therapy, a new one must be completed for 2026 and is available at the bottom of the screen.
Booking a consultation with internal staff
a. Classroom Observation
b. Joint Session with the BSS Allied Health Team
c. Care Team Meeting, SSG or Handover meeting with BSS Allied Health Team or Classroom Staff (Teacher and ES)
d. Equipment Trials (any assistive technology from AAC to Wheelchairs)
All booking requests are filtered via our NDIS Administrator Janine and once the required forms are complete your request will be submitted for Principal approval.
You will be notified via email as to the outcome of your request, if approved the email will detail the confirmed dates and times. Your booking is not confirmed until this email is received.
While Ballarat Specialist School makes every effort to support in school NDIS therapy, there are times where it cannot be facilitated which include:
· individual circumstances of the student
· student access to the curriculum
· Child Safe Standards and duty of care including the ability of school staff to supervise the student while the NDIS funded therapy is being provided
· practical and administrative capacity
· anti-discrimination obligations.
If your request is not approved you as well as the parent/carer will receive written notification via email.
