At Ballarat Specialist School we are very proud of our one-to-one iPad program, this program caters for every student aged 7 and above at BSS. The program is completely funded by the school ensuring that all students have an opportunity to reach their full potential. The iPad program enables students to have greater level of independence in their learning and increases students’ ability to communicate with others and to engage in a classroom environment that can be tailored to their individual needs as a learner. We also have an interactive whiteboard and 23" touch screen PC in every classroom.

What is Seesaw? Seesaw is a digital student learning journal that gives students an audience for their work! It gives families a window into what's going on every day in their child's classroom. Students add posts to their journals. Student post their creative projects they've been working on in the classroom. This could include photos, artwork, videos, activities, notes, projects they've created in other apps, and more. The sky's the limit! Teachers get notified when students add items and can choose to approve work before it shows up in student journals. Teachers also have the ability to post student work and provide feedback. Families get notified when there are new items added to their child?s journal. They can view posts and add likes and comments. Seesaw is primarily used as a way to communicate with parents and keep them in the loop on the learning their child is doing at Ballarat Specialist School. Students add items to Seesaw that they are proud of, as well as the work their teacher has assigned. More information about Seesaw can be obtain from your child's teacher.
